HIP HOP DANCE INSTRUCTOR

Hourly pay based on experience

Schedule:

We will work with you to develop a class schedule that works for you. Classes meet weekly Monday through Saturday during "after-school" hours (after 4pm).

Start Date:

This role will begin in September 2026.

Description: 

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Hip Hop Dance Instructor to join our team and inspire students ages 4–18. The ideal candidate is passionate about hip hop culture, skilled at teaching dancers of varying skill levels, and committed to creating a positive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Teach hip hop dance classes to students ages 4–18 at beginner through intermediate levels

• Plan and lead structured classes including warm-ups, technique, and choreography

• Create age-appropriate choreography for classes and performances

• Prepare students for annual recital, community performances, and studio events

• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

• Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students grow

• Communicate professionally with studio staff, students, and parents when needed

• Adhere to deadlines set by administrative team and directors

• Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes and rehearsals

Qualifications:

• Strong background in hip hop dance and performance

• Previous teaching experience with children and teens preferred

• Ability to teach multiple age groups and skill levels

• Strong classroom management skills

• Reliable, positive, and professional attitude

• Experience choreographing for recitals or competitions preferred

• Knowledge of hip hop foundations and styles

• Ability to keep classes fun and engaging for younger dancers
