About the event
As a visionary leader in the dance community, Dr. Arnel Calvario Ripkens has inspired countless individuals through his work as founder of Kaba Modern, former Executive Director and former Board President of Culture Shock, and as a member of the Kinjaz, while also empowering future leaders through his global dance education programs.
Dr. Arnel will be joining us next week at Charade to host ROOTS B4 BRANCHES, an educational dance workshop focusing on the following:
• the history, culture, and foundation of hip-hop, street, and club dance styles
• exploration of movement and freestyling
• discussion of cultural respect and understanding the origins of dance styles
This workshop is open to all youth ages 8 and up. You do NOT need to be a current Charade Dance Academy student to join. RSVP today!
